TribeLines Terms of Service

You need an account with a username to drop Tribes, join a Tribe or post content. Keep your sign-in details to yourself — activity from your account is treated as yours. Accounts are intended for people aged 13 and over, and one person should not run an account impersonating someone else.

• A TribeLine is a live pin at your real location, not a permanent post. It runs for the duration you set — one hour by default, extendable with your chosen duration or streak rewards.
• A Chief can disperse their Tribe at any time. Dispersal ends the Tribe immediately: the pin leaves the map, live location sharing stops, chat closes and shared media stops being served.
• Expiry and dispersal are how content is removed here. Do not treat a Tribe as storage or a backup — save anything you want to keep before the Tribe ends.
• Beacon (moving) Tribes share your position with the Tribe while the beacon runs. You can stop the beacon whenever you like.
• Private Tribes are visible only to the Kin you invite; public Tribes can be seen by anyone using the map or holding the share link.

You keep ownership of the photos, videos, audio, messages, articles and profile details you post. You give us permission to host, process and display that content so the app can do what you asked — show it to your Tribe, render your public profile, and deliver share links you create.

Media permissions are set per pin. Downloads only work when the pin allows them, and Clan usage rights only apply where the pin says so. Do not save, re-post or commercially reuse another member's media outside those settings.

Only post content you have the right to post, including anyone recognisable in it. Public content — profiles, articles, public Tribes — can be seen by anyone with the link.

Do not use TribeLines to:

• harass, threaten, stalk, dox or track a person against their wishes;
• post sexual content involving minors, illegal content, or content promoting violence or hate;
• impersonate a person, brand or Clan you do not represent;
• drop a Tribe on a location as a way to spam, mislead, or fake a brand presence;
• scrape, bulk-collect or resell other members' locations, media or profile data;
• attempt to bypass access controls, security rules or another member's privacy settings.

Every pin, member, message and media item can be reported in-app. Reports go to a moderation queue and we can hide content, end a Tribe or suspend an account while we look at it.

Location sharing is opt-in and only requested at the moment you use it. There is no background tracking in this beta. Think before dropping a public Tribe at a home address or anywhere you would not want strangers to arrive, and remember that people who join a Tribe can see where it is.

Clans can establish a semi-permanent Tribe Ground that stays on the map between events, with punch cards and footfall insight. Clan grounds currently run on a free trial plan — no payment is taken in this beta. Billing terms, pricing and refund rules will be published here before any charge is made, and you will not be charged without agreeing to them first.

This is beta software provided as-is. Features can change, and a bug, outage or expired pin can cause content to be lost. Do not rely on TribeLines as the only copy of anything important, or as a safety or emergency service.

You can stop using the app at any time and request account deletion, which removes your profile, pins, media rows, messages and memberships. We can suspend or end an account that breaks these terms or puts other members at risk.

Still to be finalised by the app owner and deliberately not stated here until they are: the registered legal entity behind TribeLines, governing law and dispute resolution, liability and warranty wording reviewed by a lawyer, and paid-plan billing terms.
